When it comes to rally racing games, DiRT Rally 2.0 and its Game of the Year Edition are two of the most popular options.

As someone who has the GOTY edition, I can say that there are some key differences.

The biggest difference between DiRT Rally 2.0 and its Game of the Year Edition is the amount of content.

Dirt Rally 2.0 on it own offers a lot of content. You could buy this and not get bored.

However, The Game of The Year edition includes a lot more, with DLC Seasons 1-4 included. This effectively doubles the number of locations available, adds more cars, and even includes the Colin McRae flatout pack.

If you’re going to spend a lot of time on the game, it’s almost always going to be better to select the Game Of The Year Edition.

Overview of Dirt Rally 2.0

Dirt Rally 2.0 is a racing video game developed and published by Codemasters.

Tracks and Vehicles

Dirt Rally 2.0 has many different tracks and vehicles, which help to keep the game fresh and exciting.

If you get bored of tarmac racing in Germany, you can switch to a snowy Sweden or a loose gravel Greece.

Each location has a mix of different surfaces and weather. You’ll also race at various times throughout the day which also mixes it up.

DR 2.0 offers over 50 different vehicles.

Dirt Rally 2.0 Game Of The Year Edition Content

Dirt Rally 2.0 Game Of The Year Content

As a passionate fan of DiRT Rally 2.0, I was thrilled to hear about the release of the Game of the Year Edition.

This edition includes all four seasons of DLC content. The DLC adds seven new rally locations to the original lineup. The new locations are a mix of classic and modern tracks, including the iconic Rally Finland and the challenging Monte Carlo.

As well as the 7 new locations, the DLC adds 25 new cars. This includes some of the most iconic cars to grace the rally stage, such as the MG Metro 6R4, Lancia Delta & much more.

On top of the additional cars and locations, you’ll gain access to the special game mode based around Rallying Hero Colin McRae.

This includes 40 different scenarios that let you experience historic races from Colin McRaes 3 decades of rallying.

This pack also unlocks Perth, Scotland as a location, as well as a Subaru Impreza and Subaru legacy that Colin McRae was well known for racing.

Dirt Rally 2.0 or Game Of The Year Edition?

I can confidently say that the Game of the Year Edition is worth it. Especially if you’re going to play the game a lot

All of the added DLC doubles, if not triples the amount of content and playability of the game.

If you’re looking for a rally game that’s going to keep you entertained for many years to come without replacing it, this is the one.

What makes it even better is the fact that it’s so cheap when it goes on sale.

It’s probably the best value-for-money game I’ve ever owned.
